ABOUT GCC
The International Guitar Festival, China (GCC) is one of the highest standard and most internationally influential guitar festivals in China, as well as one of the international classical guitar competitions with the most generous prize. So far, it has been held for 13 years.
The GCC International Guitar Festival provides an interactive and friendly exchange platform for music artists and music lovers around the world through guitar competition, composition competition, concerts, master classes, academic seminars, exhibitions and other forms. International guitar competition and composition competition have attracted contestants from 42 countries and regions. The concert features some of the most influential guitarists today. The master class provides guitar enthusiasts with the opportunity to learn from famous teachers.

1. INTERNATIONAL GUITAR COMPETITION
This is one of the international competitions held during the period of GCC. Contestants may participate in one of the following four groups: Artist, Youth, Children A and Children B. Past contestants consist mainly of top Chinese and international players from both a professional or amateur background. Jury and guests of the Guitar Festival are made up of experts and professors from music academies, orchestras and music organizations worldwide.
In order to ensure the quality of the competition and allow participants to have more time to settle and grow, the organizing committee has decided to change the competition from one year to two years (2025).
The competition regulations were subsequently issued.
2. INTERNATIONAL GUITAR COMPOSITION COMPETITION
The goal of this competition is to encourage composers to create more classical guitar pieces and expand the repertoire for guitar.
The winning piece will be published by Les Productions d'OZ or Les Éditions Doberman-Yppan, probably the biggest publishers of guitar music in the world.
3. CONCERTS
Guest performers of the GCC are all world-renowned guitarists featuring a wide variety of unique styles. 4. SEMINARS
During the course of the festival, a variety of seminars focusing on different themes are organized to look at the art of guitar from different perspectives.
