The purpose of the GCC International Guitar Competition is to identify outstanding musical talents, and to provide them with performance opportunities. The jury consists of national and international musicians, scholars, and experts. The jury will seek to identify the most promising musical performers who demonstrate all around excellence in musicianship, technique and performing ability.
The 12th GCC International Guitar Festival will be held in Changsha, August 5-9, 2023.

1. Artist Group
1st Prize: 80,000 RMB (Approximately $11562), certificate, trophy
2nd Prize: 40,000 RMB (Approximately $5781), certificate, trophy
3rd Prize: 20,000 RMB (Approximately $2890), certificate, trophy
4th /5th /6th: 5,000 RMB (Approximately $722), certificate
Note: The winner of the Artist Group will go on a multi-city recital tour in China, with the support of the Organizing Committee of GCC International Guitar Festival.
All the certificates in the Artist Group are signed by judges.
The final interpretation is up to the Organizing Committee.
2. Youth Group
1st Prize: 8,000 RMB (Approximately $1156), certificate

• The performance MUST be within the time restrictions (including tuning time), otherwise the competitor will be disqualified.
• No limits to age or nationality. Competitors should offer the scores (PDF) by sending email to gcc@guitar.org.cn.
• The previous GCC Artist Group first place and Changsha Young Guitar Artists are not eligible to participate in this competition.
